Please consult your local optometrist/optician for a proper contact lens fitting before inserting any lens in your kids eyes.
Things to keep in mind before you start:
- In your lens trial, should include a contact lens case.
- A pair of contact lens that was recommended to you by an ECP.
- It is very important to have a pair of back up glasses when you are not wearing contacts.
Steps to follow:
- Always start off with clean hands.
- Try to use non fragnance soap 10 second each side.
- Do not mix up lens, your lens case are labeled LEFT and RIGHT to prevent any infections.
- Prevent from mixing up lens. Try to keep it a routine of always inserting/removing your RIGHT lens first and then the LEFT.
- If you have different prescription on each eyes, you can label your lens to prevent any confusion.
- First lets fill contact case with some solutions 3/4 th of the way, just enough to cover the lens.
- NEVER touch the tip of bottle to anything, this can prevent any contamination, ALWAYS close lids when done.
- Starting off with RIGHT lens, remove from package and place in RIGHT case.
- Repeat for the LEFT eye.
- Set up a clean working station, having paper towel will help keep your fingers dry.
- Pick up your RIGHT lens and place in middle of your palms.
- Place 2-3 drops of solutions on lens, clean lens with an UP/DOWN motion.
- UP and DOWN motion every hour of the clock for 10 seconds each.
- NEVER clean in a circular motion, this will tear the lens easier.
- Once rinse, dry off inserting your fingers.
- Place lens on index finger like a bowl.
- Take a closer look at the edge of your lens. If your edges are going away from each other this is the wrong side. If edges are both up right, like a bowl shape then you are GOOD TO GO!!
Get Set Go!!
Now starting off by inserting the right eye. Don't be nervous you are barely touching your eyes.
If you are RIGHT handed, use your right index finger as your INSERTING/REMOVING fingers. Vice Versa.
When your child is ready to wear on:
So if you're right handed, use your left middle finger to pull up the child's TOP lid.
Use your right middle fingers to pull down your lower lid.
Tell the child to look straight ahead as you slowly insert onto the eye.
Once the lens get placed on the eyeballs, look in the same direction of the lens to secure it in place, left right up and down.
Once lens is in place let go of the lids and blink couple of times to make sure lens is secure.
Repeat the above steps for the other eye as well. But please make sure you inspect your lens for any tears or dust before inserting.

How to Remove the lens
Removing the lens requires to ease your hands on using a pinch and grab method, which is going to be using your index and thumb.
Holding your lids up with the same fingers as inserting.
Placing your index finger on to the lens, drag it to the corners of your eye and GENTLY PINCH.
Use the same hands for the left eye as well.
Tell the child to look away as you pinch the lens.
